Effective Nov 1, the MA rmv is changing the inspection process. If your vehicle passes, you will no longer get a printout. If your vehicle doesn't pass you will get a printout explaining why.
If you are late in getting an inspection sticker, the new one will expire the month you should have gotten the sticker. Example: sticker expires. Nov 2022, you get the sticker in Jan 2023, the new sticker will expire Nov 2023.

The computer systems are still down at all MA inspection stations. March and April inspections have been extended until May 31. You cannot receive a ticket for a late inspection.
