Just finished these three rare Atlas coolers. All three have their original porcelain signs. The one has the Simplex coin mech and has a compressor. The other two are ice chests. Thanks to Fun-tronics that had some of the parts I needed to finish the projects. Dig those old coolers out of the barn or garage and bring them back to life using the parts from Fun-tronics.

Here are some before and after pictures of a Coca-Cola Vendo 44 I just finished. Using parts from Fun-tronics made the restoration so much easier. And Janet is great to deal with. I switched out the rocker arms on this bottle rack with the aftermarket ones that Fun-tronics sells so this machine can now vend cans. Enjoy the before and after pictures.

Just finished this very rare Dr Pepper Atlas Junior electric cooler with Selectivend mechanism. I have had this in storage for around 12 years and finally getting around to restoring it. I purchased it from the old Dr Pepper bottling plant here in Effingham Illinois. Everything was there when I purchased it. I'd like to thank Joe Winterbottom for getting the original compressor working. The cooler was made by the Atlas Metal Works Dallas Texas. The coin mechanism is made by Selectivend. I have never seen a mechanism like this. You put your nickle in and push it in and that nickle goes into the clear round window and pushes that nickle out and that nickle releases it to vend. Only the early skinny Dr Pepper bottles will fit in the drum. I had to install a modern thermostat because you can not find any like the original one. The sign on the front is also original to the machine. I also just finished the twin to this cooler but without the coin mechanism and compressor. It is the Atlas Junior ice cooler.
They look great together. A lot of history with the pair.

I am selling my rare Quikold cooler collection at Fun-tronics 2nd annual showroom sale March 21st 22nd and 23rd on Facebook Porcelain Sign Trader group . The 7up and white Pepsi coolers are juniors and embossed. The blue Pepsi is a standard cooler with the rare swish embossing. The yellow Pepsi cooler is a standard cooler with four rare original embossed panels that have been professionally restored. Here's your chance to add some rare Quikold coolers to your collection.

Here are some before and after pictures of a Coca-Cola Vendo 56 machine I just finished restoring. It had the blind door bottle door on it. I modified the bottle door to be a visible door. Fun-tronics had everything I needed for this restoration. This machine will be for sale this month in my sale.

Here are some before and after pictures of this rare Dr Pepper Atlas Junior cooler I just finished restoring. Fun-tronics had a few parts I needed, but for the most part I was able to restore the original parts. The porcelain sign on the front is original. This one is a keeper.
