1) The hamburgers American debut was at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.
2) It's estimated that Americans alone consume almost 50 billion hamburgers every year. If lined up in a straight line, they would wrap around the earth more than 100 times.
3) A culinary legend says the cheeseburger was invented in 1926 when a young chef at a California restaurant used a slice of cheese to cover up the fact that he had accidently burned a burger.
