🌱 A fresh harvest and a pickle tasting at Salado Middle School!

Bell County Farm Bureau Ag Coordinator Jackie McLaughlin visited Ms. Hugo’s science classroom, where students picked and tasted fresh vegetables from their grow tower.

The fun continued when students took home dill grown on the tower, made pickles, and brought them back for the class to try! 🥒 What a delicious way to see where food comes from.

Thank you, Ms. Hugo and Salado Middle School, for sharing this experience with us! 💚

🌱 More Young Gardeners Are Growing in Bell County! 🌱

Bell County Farm Bureau Ag Coordinator Jackie McLaughlin recently visited St. Mary’s, where the 3rd and 4th grade students planted two Grow Towers! 🌿🍃

These hands-on projects give students the opportunity to experience agriculture right in their classroom as they plant, care for, and watch their crops grow.

📸 Pictured are some of the enthusiastic 3rd grade students who helped get their tower started!

We love bringing agriculture into our local schools and giving students a fun, hands-on way to learn where their food comes from. 💚🌾

We can’t wait to watch their gardens GROW! 🌱

📚 Growing Young Minds at Salado Creek Elementary! 📚🌱

Bell County Farm Bureau’s Jackie McLaughlin had a wonderful time visiting Salado Creek Elementary, where the entire 3rd grade — 110 students — helped plant two Tower Gardens! 🌿

A special thank you to science teachers Ms. Liz Carroll and Ms. Ashley Wecelean, who will be working with the students as they watch their plants grow and learn firsthand about agriculture, science, and where our food comes from.

We love seeing students get excited about agriculture through hands-on learning! 💚🌾 We can’t wait to see what these young gardeners grow!

🌾 Supporting Our Schools & Growing the Future of Agriculture! 🌱

Bell County Farm Bureau was proud to participate in a local Back-to-School Event, where our Bell County Ag Coordinator, Jackie McLaughlin, shared educational resources and introduced families to the many agricultural programs available through Texas Farm Bureau.

From hands-on learning opportunities to our Ag in the Classroom and Tower Gardens programs, we’re passionate about helping students and teachers discover where their food, fiber, and fuel come from.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth! We look forward to another great school year of educating, inspiring, and connecting with our community.

📚🌱 Growing minds. Growing agriculture. Growing our future.
