“From our standpoint, when we formed Crest in 2010, we wanted to be the brokerage for entrepreneurs and great cultural difference-makers. We wanted a platform that allowed people to have an insurance career rather than just a temporary job.

Our partnership with SIB will allow Crest to operate independently and under our same current ownership structure on the Crest side in the United States. We have secured our immediate future as a leading independent broker in the United States, but our partnership with SIB will allow us to be a major North American insurance broker.
This is an exciting day, but for our Crest employees and customers, it’s business as usual, which, in this current environment, is getting harder to achieve!

To our new Canadian partners, I would like to say it’s a great day, EH! I can say that as I was born in Calgary.

To our Crest team and customers in the USA, we are still in charge under our current ownership structure, and together we can provide best-in-practice strategies for our employees and clients.”

With more than 10 years of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, Jake brings a strong background in commercial insurance and a deep understanding of the needs of businesses across industries including manufacturing, wholesale, real estate, and healthcare.

Before joining Crest, Jake spent his career at Travelers Insurance in Phoenix, where he served as an Account Executive Officer overseeing the Arizona and Nevada territories.

Founded in 1943 and acquired by the Tegeler family in the 1970s, Tegeler has built an incredible legacy across Wyoming, with 14 locations throughout the state.

We’re excited to welcome Kerry Majhanovich, Kelly Tegeler, and the entire Tegeler team as we continue building on that legacy together.
