I was able to mix business with pleasure last week! LPL had their annual meeting with appx 15,000 advisors attending this years Focus for three days in San Diego. I was able to extend the trip with my kids and grandkids!

Spent 3 days last week in San Diego for LPL’s annual Focus Event! What a great time hanging out and sharing different ideas with 9000 plus other advisors!!!
One of the best break out sessions I sat in on was…Social Security, The choice of a lifetime.

Was able to mix work with pleasure and unfortunately some devastation last week. I attended a seminar in La Jolla on the importance of proper portfolio construction put on by Fidelity, went to a Mezcal and Cigar night at Oceanside Yacht Club and unfortunately watched the restaurant at the end of the pier burn!?!

Thanks to Invesco I was able to go to Dallas last week on a due diligence meeting on REIT’s and here first hand from their experts in that area on what is happening out there and how they select properties for their portfolios!

Took a fantastic road trip to Denver for LPL's annual Focus event. I sat in on a of great sessions and learned about some alternative investments we have available for clients like Funds to take advantage of 1031 exchanges and also large security positions. But what I found to be the best break out and very timely was "The Anatomy of a Recession".
