Pools can bring lots of wonderful summer fun and memories to last a lifetime, but having one also carries some risks and it’s important to ensure you have the proper insurance coverage in place.

3 Things you need to know if you’re considering purchasing a home with a pool or thinking of adding a pool (even above the ground pools) to your home:

#1-Contact your insurance broker or carrier- Coverage is not automatic on your policy and the pool must be disclosed.

#2-Safety Precautions- Installing a fence around the perimeter of the pool, or adding a safety cover can save lives and limit injuries

#3-Consider an umbrella policy- An umbrella policy provides an extra layer of protection by increase the amount of liability coverage.

A majority of our preferred auto insurance carriers have announced plans to return a portion of April and May auto insurance premium to their customers. These carriers include Mercury, Safeco, Travelers, Nationwide, and Progressive, amongst others. Most refunds will be sent in the same method you currently pay your bill. Currently, the CA Department of Insurance is reviewing details for final approval.
