My beautiful grandma, who just turned 94 on Wednesday with her first born, my dad, who suddenly passed on Friday.
Grief is much heavier to bear than I expected. I still cant believe he is gone.

“Though the mountains may be moved into the sea, though the ground beneath might crumble and give way. I can hear the Father singing over me, ‘it’s gonna be ok. It’s gonna be ok.”

Sometimes things happen and life is forever altered or completely changed, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be ok.

I am so thankful for the lessons I have been reminded of lately to prepare me for this season. God is good and He only does good. For now, everything I know is partial and incomplete.
Thank you, God, for my dad and for the years I had him to love and make wonderful memories with 💕

I had the great privilege of attending the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce Women in Business event yesterday Pechanga Resort Casino. Wow!!!! So many great take aways from the beautiful women who spoke Cindee Williams, Stacey Dunn, and Veronica Cisneros.
The one I wanted to reflect upon today was this comment by Veronica, “My worth is not attached to the task(s) I complete” or as often is the case for me the task I don’t complete.
I tend to create daily to do lists so long that no human being could complete in a 24 hour period.
I get sidetracked, derailed, and lose focus so easily and the more important things, or the harder things, end up getting pushed to the bottom of the list or bumped to tomorrow’s. I end my day with the heavy stench of failure and frustration because I’ve attached my worth as a mom, wife, businesswoman, housekeeper, yard worker, friend…you name it, to that list.
Folks, I KNOW my worth isn’t tied to a task list. Yet I still struggle with the emotional connection between what I do and who I am.

Today, I have the typical mile long list in front of me, but I am reviewing my place in this world and who I am in Christ to keep my perspective of myself clear 💕

Sometimes I really grieve the changes that come with life continually moving forward…like my babies growing up. The truth is, change is inevitable and while it can be VERY different from what we once had or enjoyed, it is usually just as enjoyable and often way better than I imagined.
I do miss my little ones - I miss the everyday, ordinary, take for granted things of their childhood. BUT, man, I am loving these adults and the NEW things we experience because they have grown.
Life is different.
Things have changed.
Thank you, Jesus, for being our one constant.
It was a wonderful Christmas 🎄. Just missing Kylie, Jake, and the grands 💕💕
