Finally, the sun isn’t beating down on us, and Olive gets to hit the trail with me again.

Every time I left for a hike without her, she would look at me like I had betrayed her. It always stunk leaving her behind, but protecting her from overheating had to come first.

Judging by that smile, I think she’s pretty happy to be back.

FYI - I miss my partner when she's not on the trail with me!

Meal prep always seems to take longer than I think it will.

There’s the shopping, cooking, packing everything up, and then the pile of dishes at the end. I can’t say I enjoy every part of it, but opening the fridge during a busy week and seeing everything ready to go makes it worth it.

I’m learning that staying on track has less to do with motivation and more to do with making things easier on myself ahead of time.

Just trying to build better habits one meal at a time.
