Fall in Love with Lenawee — Day 1

Did you know Adrian was once home to one of the best Black baseball teams in the country?

The Page Fence Giants played in Adrian from 1895–1898 and became known as one of the strongest Black baseball teams of their time. The team was started by Bud Fowler, the first African American Professional Baseball Player. In 1898, the team ended due to financial issues.

They played at Lawrence Park, right here in Adrian on Race St west of the river.

A little local history. A lot of talent. And one reason to Fall in Love with Lenawee. ❤️
