Since April 2, 1956 the goal of First National Bank in Taylorville has been to offer Taylorville and Christian County a full range of quality financial services. Since its beginning, First National Bank in Taylorville has been a financial partner to individuals, farmers, and businessmen.

Today, the bank remains the only truly independent community bank in Taylorville, and is owned by many of your friends and neighbors in the community. Dailey, Norman R. Johnson, Clifford S. Stokes, L.A. Tedrow, Sam Taylor, and E.W. Vollintine. Clifford S. Stokes served as the first President and Chairman of the Board; Turney E. Buck was Vice President, and Cashier Joe F. Gearhart. Other employees during the early years were Virginia P. Spalding and Florence Padgett. First National Bank in Taylorville offers a full range of trust services, IRA's, retirement funds, agriculture loans, residential loans, commercial loans, and consumer loans. We also have a variety of interest-bearing deposit accounts. Our newest "employees" just arrived! They showed up to their first day of work unprepared, but luckily for them we keep goose clothes on hand! 😅

We're not sure about their banking experience, but their holiday spirit is unmatched - so we hired them anyway. 🇺🇸

We will be testing their skills in various departments, so stay tuned for updates during their training.
