Meet the Team: Carly Cowles

We're excited to begin introducing the people behind the Tyler Leslie Agency, starting with Carly!

This summer, Carly is participating in the Farm Bureau Insurance Michigan Family of Companies Internship Program and working alongside our team as she gains hands-on experience serving our members and our community. Over the coming weeks, you may hear from Carly as she assists with member outreach, policy reviews, and other office projects. We hope you'll join us in giving her a warm welcome!

Here's a little about Carly, in her own words:

"Hi! I'm Carly Cowles. I'm 21 years old and am participating in the Farm Bureau Family of Companies Internship Program this summer. I'm excited for the opportunity and hope to build a career with Farm Bureau in the future.

It's been an exciting season of life for me! Earlier this month, I welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world, and he has already brought so much joy to our family. As life settles into a new routine, I'm looking forward to getting back to riding my horses and coaching wrestling—two things that make me happiest.

I've always tried to be a good listener and make someone's day a little brighter whenever I can. I believe those qualities will help me serve others well, and I'm excited to see where this opportunity takes me."

As much as we love staring at insurance paperwork, we'd rather spend our days looking at the farms and farmers that make our community special.

Over the past nine months, Eden Parker has led the planning and coordination of Project R.E.D. (Rural Education Day), growing it into one of Iosco County’s most impactful youth education events.

Through her role as Iosco County Young Farmer Chair, and with the support of the Michigan Farm Bureau, Eden was able to build strong connections across the community, turning ideas into a hands on learning experience for local students.

Project R.E.D. brought together an incredible group of presenters, volunteers, and sponsors who stepped up to teach, guide, and inspire. From donated materials and equipment to time spent leading stations, each contribution played a role in creating a meaningful experience for over 400 students.

This event is a true reflection of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose. We are proud to support efforts like Project R.E.D. and the individuals who make it possible.
