Not all Muslims are violent, and it is important that we make that distinction clear. Millions of Muslims live peacefully in the United States and around the world, raising families, working, owning businesses, serving their communities, and practicing their faith without harming anyone.

At the same time, we should be able to have an open and factual conversation about violent Islamist extremism without treating every Muslim as responsible for the actions of extremists. Terrorism and calls for violence should be confronted wherever they come from, but innocent people should not be judged simply because of their religion.

We can protect our country, enforce our laws, and confront extremism while still respecting peaceful Muslims and their constitutional right to religious freedom.

We should judge people by their actions, not simply by their faith.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

A scammer contacted one of our clients within 1 hour of her husband’s booking info going online on keysso.net.

First he demanded $1,500 for “bond.”

When that didn’t work, he called back claiming he needed $750 for an ankle monitor.

In reality, the man didn’t even have a bond and still needed to see the judge.

They left multiple missed calls, texts, and a voicemail trying to get her to pay.

This happens daily.

Do not send money or give personal information. Hang up and call the real Sheriff’s Office or jail yourself using the official numbers.

Today on Justice Denied, we remember Todd Williams—a man whose life mattered.

Todd had reached a time in his life when he should have been enjoying his family, his children, his grandchildren, and the years ahead. Instead, his life was tragically taken outside his home.

But this story is about more than one terrible act of violence. It raises serious questions about public safety, pretrial release, accountability, and whether the justice system did enough to protect the community.

Today, we're going to tell Todd's story—because behind every headline is a real person, a real family, and a life that should never be forgotten.

I'm Albert Vigil, and this is Justice Denied.

His life mattered. His story matters.

Bail bonds protect the presumption of innocence and allow defendants to continue working, supporting their families, and preparing their defense while their case is pending. Without this system, defendants who have not been convicted of anything could remain in jail simply because they cannot afford...

SCAM ALERT – These calls are happening EVERY DAY to families of people who have been arrested.

A 20-year-old Savannah man was just arrested for running a phone scam that stole over $22,000 from a Marathon resident.

The suspects pretended to be Monroe County and Lee County Sheriff’s deputies, claimed the victim missed jury duty, and demanded money to “avoid arrest.”

This is the same type of scam we see constantly targeting families of people who are in jail or recently arrested:

• Callers claim to be from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the jail, or a bondsman

• They say your loved one needs more money for bond, a ankle monitor, has new charges, or must pay a “processing fee” right now

• They pressure you to send cash, gift cards, Bitcoin, or money via apps

REAL law enforcement and the jail will NEVER call and demand money over the phone.

They will never ask you to meet someone in a parking lot or send funds electronically to “clear” anything.

If you get one of these calls:

Hang up.

Call the Monroe County Jail or Sheriff’s Office yourself using a number you look up (not the one the caller gives you).

Call us at Monroe County Bail Bonds – we can verify bond information for free.

Please share this so more families know the red flags. Stay safe out there.

Justice Denied – Episode 9: Two Lives. Two Tragedies. Never Forgotten.

In Episode 9 of Justice Denied, host Albert Vigil remembers two innocent men whose lives ended in acts of violence that forever changed their families and communities.

We honor FWC Officer Julian L. Keen Jr., who was killed on June 14, 2020, after stopping to help following a suspected hit-and-run crash while off duty in LaBelle, Florida. Officer Keen's courage, commitment to serving others, and dedication to mentoring young people left a lasting legacy that continues today through scholarships, youth mentorship programs, and the Julian Keen Jr. Lock and Dam.

We also remember Richard Williams, an 83-year-old Army veteran, cancer survivor, husband, father, and grandfather, whose life was tragically cut short in a violent attack in New York City. After surviving military service and cancer, his life ended in a senseless act of violence, leaving behind a grieving wife, three daughters, one grandchild, and a community searching for justice.

Episode 9 explores the lives of these two men—not simply how they died, but how they lived. It is a story of courage, sacrifice, family, service, and the lasting impact that violent crime has on innocent victims and those left behind.

These were not just names in the headlines.

They were real people.

Real families.

Real lives.

At Justice Denied, we believe their stories deserve to be told and remembered.

Honor the Badge. Remember the Fallen. Never Forget the Victims.
