What a wonderful time we had celebrating Mother’s Day at Silver Pointe Apartments! 🌸💐

A special thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success. Nelly from Balanced Insurance Group, Wendy and Susan from K2 Medical Research, and Christine from CapTel Caption Telephones were there supporting the residents and sharing valuable information and resources with the community.

We would also like to give a huge to Michelle, the community event coordinator, for bringing everything together and to Golden Corral for generously sponsoring the food for the celebration. 🍽️

Most importantly, thank you to all the amazing residents who joined us and made the day so special. The smiles, laughter, music, and fellowship made for a truly memorable Mother’s Day celebration. ❤️

What an AMAZING time this past Saturday in Clermont! 🌴☀️🎶

We were honored to participate in the Beach Party event at one of the 55+ communities we proudly serve was an absolute success with OVER 200 guests joining us for an evening full of fun, music, food, laughter, and great memories!

Huge thank you to Aetna Medicare for sponsoring the delicious appetizers and to Wendy from K2 Medical Research for sponsoring the selfie station with fun props and nonstop smiles! 📸

And WOW — BlueStone Circle absolutely rocked the party with awesome live music that kept the energy going all evening long! 🎸🥁🎤

Events like these remind us why we love serving our local communities. Thank you to everyone who came out and made this event so special. We can’t wait to do it again!

From a 4th Grade Classroom to Rome — A Full Circle Moment

In 2025, Rafael and Nelly of Balanced Insurance Group were hosting a small community gathering in a senior community in Clermont.

About 15-17 people in the room. Ready to build birdhouses.

Because the group was small, the conversation was real.

Stories were shared.

And then Rafael noticed something—

He was sitting in a room full of retired teachers… some from New York.

So he asked.

For years—15 to 20 years—he had been searching for one teacher:

Ms. Kelly Ho.

Rafael entered Ms. Kelly’s 4th grade mid-year, with much struggle but was promoted to 5th grade. Ms. Kelly did not approve and got him from another classroom and brought him back to hers—not to hold him back, but to strengthen his language skills and build a solid foundation.

A decision that changed his life.

That day in Clermont…

He got help.

Someone in that room helped him find her.

Rafael reached out by email.

And Ms. Kelly responded.

She flew down to Florida.

She loves to travel so just like that! Florida was no problem.

Rafael and Nelly picked her up for breakfast and lunch.

The conversations were real. Meaningful.

Rafael learned something he never knew—

He was part of Ms. Kelly’s very first class ever.

They talked about her journey… from teacher, to vice principal, to college professor.

Years of impact.

And in the middle of all that—

They learned something simple:

Ms. Kelly loves ice cream.

Rafael shared stories he still remembered from her classroom.

Took Ms. Kelly for some ice cream then he drove her to the airport.

Two weeks later, the phone rang.

Rafael and Nelly were both on the line.

Ms. Kelly said:

“I had a dream we were all in Rome… and it’s heavy in my heart that I pay for the tickets and the hotel for you guys.”

Silence.

Shock.

Disbelief.

And then—

Nelly shouted:

“YES! YES! YES!”

And just like that…

A story that started in a 4th grade classroom in New York…

continued in a senior community in Clermont…

and landed in Rome, Italy.

Nelly was right there for it all—and had an incredible time.

She built a real connection with Ms. Ho, her goddaughter Meeka, and their friend Natalie, who all joined the trip.

What started as a reunion…

turned into shared meals, laughter, and unforgettable memories in one of the most historic cities in the world.

On one of the days in Rome, they took a train to Florence—

A full day of walking, laughing, and shopping and the best gelato Florence had to offer.

This is what impact looks like.

One teacher.

One decision.

One moment that didn’t make sense at the time…

…but shaped everything that came after.

What makes this story so meaningful to us is simple—

The ties we build in life are real.

Even when time passes… even when life takes us in different directions…

Those connections don’t disappear.

They stay with us.

And somehow, some way—

They bring us back.

As we step into 2026, we’re grateful for a year of growth, trust, and community.

From opening our office in Tavares, to building new relationships and serving new communities—while continuing to support the communities we’ve proudly served for years—this past year has been truly rewarding.
