Have health insurance? Fantastic. did you know that only 84% of the costs of treating cancer is medical. So yeah, your health insurance pays if you get cancer, but you still have out of pocket costs, like that large deductible and then the company will pay 70%-80% of your bills until your out of pocket maximum, which is upwards of $7000 these days.

A lump sum cancer plan is a lot like life insurance, except it pays out if you're ever diagnosed with cancer. You can get $5k-$75k. Then you can pay those out of pocket costs with the insurance companies money and not your own. Along with helping pay for transportation, loss of income due to treatment and all those little things we don't realize add up.

These policies are very inexpensive and can be a a financial lifeline in case you hear those awful words telling you that you have cancer.

$5k lump sum for me is only $3.50/month

Folks....do not wait until your 65th birthday to actually call medicare. Start the process at least 3 months ahead of that time so you are not behind on things.
