Heritage Insurance policyholders affected by Hurricane Isaias can file a claim by calling 855.415.7120 (select option 1). From there, you can choose to complete the loss reporting process via text messaging or by speaking directly with a live company representative.

Hurricane Tip #14: Recovering After a Hurricane 🏠💙

Whether you stayed home during the storm or evacuated, recovery should always begin with caution and safety first.

If you stayed home:
✅ Continue monitoring weather and local emergency updates and do not leave your home until it has been officially determined that the storm is over
✅ Check your home carefully for structural damage or hazards
✅ Avoid drinking, cooking, or brushing your teeth with tap water until it's been declared safe
✅ Do not run your generator inside or near your home

If you evacuated:
✅ Return home only when local officials say it is safe
✅ Inspect your property carefully before entering
✅ When first arriving home, asses the site for potential danger
✅ Do not drive your vehicle into standing water, and stick to designated open roads

Recovery can take time, but taking safe and thoughtful steps can help protect your family and your home as you move forward after the storm.

Hurricane Tip #13: Assessing Storm Damage

After the storm passes, it’s important to assess damage carefully and safely before returning to normal activities.🏠
A few important things to look out for when assessing storm damage:
✅ Watch for downed power lines and stay far away from them
✅ Avoid standing water, which could hide debris or electrical hazards
✅ Wear protective gear like gloves and sturdy shoes when inspecting damage
✅ Check for structural damage before entering your home
✅ Take photos of any damage for insurance purposes 📸
