Two weeks ago, a devastating earthquake struck Venezuela, leaving countless families in urgent need of medical assistance. The destruction has been overwhelming, and many survivors are facing severe injuries, including major skin loss and wounds. Unfortunately, the lack of medical equipment in the country has made it nearly impossible for doctors to provide the care these patients desperately need. One of the most critical needs right now is a dermatome machine, which is used to perform skin grafts for people who have lost legs, arms, or suffered other major skin injuries. At the moment, there is only one functioning machine in the entire country, as the others have been damaged beyond repair. The funds raised through this GoFundMe will be used to purchase a new dermatome machine from the USA. This machine will be delivered to hospitals in Caracas, where the doctor in charge of the dermatology department will oversee its use and ensure it helps as many patients as possible. As many of you know, Venezuelan people are going through one of the worst catastrophes in recent history.
