What an amazing evening last night at the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Toast to Life! We're especially proud of Scot Grooms for serving on the event committee—his dedication and hard work helped make this event an overwhelming success.

The MDA is dedicated to transforming the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases through research, care, and advocacy. Their work is truly inspiring and impacts countless families across the country.

On Monday, UConn secured their place in history by clinching the NCAA championship game with a 75-60 victory over Purdue – making them the first Division I men’s college basketball team to achieve consecutive championships since Florida accomplished this almost 2 decades ago. (Go Gators!)

This year, our Grooms Benefits March Madness challenge winner is… Daryl Temple!

Daryl has generously donated his entire $300 in winnings to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. This organization provides college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

Congratulations to Daryl and all of our winners! See you again next year! Will UConn make it a 3-peat?

It was a beautiful weekend at the Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, a local juried art festival with several awards honoring the outstanding artists participating in the show.

The Grooms Benefits Award of Merit went to Amanda Outcalt’s gorgeous piece called “Lifted Up by Love” showcasing the art style of Intaglio Printmaking (or Etching) using copper plates and ink.
