Our house and our Journey. We know our way around permitting and contracting and this was still tough.

Davis Islands homeowner Jerry Britt has officially received approval to rebuild the home he and his wife have lived in for nearly 10 years after two hurricanes wreaked havoc.

I spent the majority of the day yesterday at the property shown in the first picture, that used to look like the second picture, operating the piece of equipment in the third picture. We rented it from Home Depot, mostly with our perks because we spend enough money there that we get lots and lots of perk credits from them.  the fifth picture is not a snapshot we took. It looks a little more professional. Probably Home Depot‘s promo pic for renting this particular piece of equipment. 

It rained on us off and on throughout the day. We were prepping the yard for sod to be laid soon. It was an established house and I was trying to get away without resodding it, but that just wasn’t going to be possible so we had to do the prep quickly to be ready for the sod.

The inside of the house is done and staged. See pic 4. Hope to be on the market in about a week. This one’s in Seminole Heights.

Assembled a Windmill today after our bike ride. It’s about 8 1/2 ft tall. Didn’t realize it was that tall when I “bought” it with Floor & Decor rewards points. We love it. Compliments the color wheels we already had in our front yard. It’s windy and they are spinning right now. The picture quality on the iPhone is just too crisp to capture the movement.
