Four alarm fire yesterday in Wesley Chapel. Approximately 400 people and pets are displaced. 83 units impacted. Relief efforts have begun. They are taking donations (read post for details).

HOW CAN YOU HELP? Community members are coming together to help hundreds of residents displaced after a devastating fire tore through the Cobalt Apartments in the Wesley Chapel/Lutz area Thursday afternoon.

The fire destroyed approximately 83 apartment units and displaced an estimated 200 residents. Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours as portions of the heavily damaged building collapsed.

Residents wishing to help may drop off donations at the following locations:

Organizers are accepting gift cards, clothing, toiletries, pet supplies, blankets, food, water and other everyday essentials.

Those unable to donate are encouraged to share information about the relief effort to help reach more people who may be able to assist the displaced families.

We love supporting local businesses even while on summer break. Had a chance to try Kyle Bryner restaurant Blue Hound Barbecue in Dillard, GA.

The owner is the winner of season 6 BBQ Brawl on Food Network.

The bbq egg rolls (filled with brisket, pimento cheese, and collard greens), smoked lemon pepper wings and brisket Reuben were some of our favorites!
