Busy west Tampa area retail insurance agency is looking for a Commercial Lines Agent Assistant

Salary based on level of experience. Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision. Paid time off. 401k eligible after 1 year. This is for P & C business only! We use Partner XE software for agency management system. We are a small family-oriented agency but are continuing to grow.

Must possess at a valid Florida 4-40
Must be detail-oriented and comfortable working in a paperless environment.
Must be familiar with acord applications and certificate templates
Only qualified candidates will be contacted for possible interviews. Must live within 25 miles of agency. Must be a team player! We are not a cookie-cutter agency and write in multiple specialty lines. Agent is extremely hands on with all clients. He needs a CSR who can handle the workflow in the agency insurance software. Agent does most of his own quoting and all supplemental applications. CSR will need to create policy details and acords in the system.

CSR will assist the Producer with the new and renewal business quotes
CSR will support agent with binding the new and renewal business
CSR will process endorsements, certificate requests, and recommendation letters
CSR will also assist in filing claims as needed
CSR will be responsible for daily attaching of emails and various paperwork received in the mail

About Us: Established in 1996 we are a busy insurance agency in the West Tampa area. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Business casual dress code and environment.

Duties: Answering multiple phone lines. Opening, date stamping and sorting the incoming mail. Mail is then scanned and uploaded into our agency software. Preparing and posting the outgoing mail. Receiving and sorting incoming faxes. Faxes are received electronically and then must be emailed to the correct recipient. Watering the office plants twice a week. You will be responsible for ordering motor vehicle reports as well and maintain excel spreadsheet for accounting. Will monitor office supplies and prepare weekly list for management. Must be comfortable functioning in a paperless environment. Will pull daily reports online for various companies. Must be computer literate and self motivated. Must be team player.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary range: $13.00 to $15.00 depending on experience and skill set
