Medicare Open Enrollment is here — is your current plan still the right fit?

Many retirees assume that if their Medicare plan worked well last year, they can simply renew it and move on.

But Medicare plans, prescription costs, premiums, and benefits can change from year to year.

And there’s another piece many people don’t realize: your retirement income can impact what you pay for Medicare.

In our recent Fox 13 Good Day Tampa Bay segment, “Medicare Isn’t Free,” Chris and Shawn discuss:

Medicare’s hidden costs

• How your income can affect Medicare premiums
• What IRMAA is and why it matters
• Why Medicare should be part of your overall retirement plan

We’re offering complimentary 45-minute Medicare planning appointments during Open Enrollment.

Whether you're already on Medicare or approaching Medicare eligibility, we can help you review your options and make sure your healthcare plan fits into your overall retirement strategy.

Could Your Medicare Plan Cost You Thousands Next Year?

Medicare Open Enrollment runs October 15 – December 7, and there's one mistake we see retirees make every year:

They assume that because their plan worked last year, it will work just as well next year.

But Medicare plans can change. Premiums, prescription costs, deductibles, doctors, and benefits may look very different in 2027.
Recently, we joined Laura on Good Day Tampa Bay to discuss the Medicare decision that could cost retirees thousands—and what you should review before making your decision.

Watch our 4-minute segment to learn the 5 things you should check before renewing your Medicare coverage.

What a great night at W**e & Wisdom!

Last night at Coppertail Brewery, we had the opportunity to celebrate some very special people in the Mosaic family, including retirees, birthdays, and our wonderful Ambassadors.

We also enjoyed an informative presentation from Dennis Guillette on cybersecurity, sharing valuable information on how to better protect ourselves in today’s digital world.

It was an evening filled with great conversations, good food, lots of laughs, and even better company.

We are grateful for the relationships we have built with our clients and the opportunity to celebrate life’s special moments together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make W**e & Wisdom such a memorable night!

Is September really the “September Curse” for investors?

September has historically been one of the more challenging months for the stock market.

But there’s another issue we’re watching closely right now:

Inflation.

Why does it matter?

Because inflation could play a major role in the Federal Reserve’s decision to raise, hold, or lower interest rates.

If inflation continues to cool, the Fed may have more flexibility to lower rates.

If inflation remains stubborn, rates could stay higher for longer.

So what’s the most concerning part?

It’s not knowing exactly what the Fed will do next.

It’s having a retirement plan that requires you to be right about what happens next.

Chris & Shawn recently discussed the September market pattern, inflation, interest rates, and what investors should be watching in a local news segment.

Watch the segment to hear what we're watching most closely.

How much can waiting to save for retirement really cost you?

Most people know they should be saving for retirement.

The harder question is: What happens if you wait?

Waiting 5, 10, or even 20 years to start investing can make a dramatic difference because you're not just missing contributions, you're missing years of compound growth.

For example, someone who starts saving early may be able to contribute significantly less and still end up with more than someone who waits and tries to “catch up” later.

On our latest news segment, we broke down the cost of waiting to save for retirement and showed just how powerful time can be when it comes to building wealth.

https://www.facebook.com/reel/2451939595273504

We want to hear from you:

When did you start saving for retirement?

20s? 30s? 40s? 50s? Or are you just getting started?

There’s no judgment — the important thing is knowing where you are today and figuring out what comes next.

Thanks so much!
