We are expanding rapidly and seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) who can bridge the worlds of fintech, investment advisory, and hedge fund marketing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of sales, partnerships, and financial services distribution.
Key Responsibilities
• Business Development Strategy: Create and execute growth strategies for both the financial app user base and institutional partnerships.
• Advisor Recruitment: Identify, engage, and onboard Investment Advisor Representatives (IARs) and financial advisors to grow our platform’s network.
• Capital Raising & Hedge Fund Marketing: Build relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutions to increase awareness and capital inflows for our hedge fund products.
• Market Research: Monitor trends in fintech, wealth management, and alternative investments to identify opportunities.
• Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term partnerships with advisors, investors, and financial institutions.
• Presentations & Roadshows: Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote our platform and funds.
• Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate CRM records, track leads, and report progress toward growth goals.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field (Series 65/7/63 licenses preferred or willingness to obtain).
• 5+ years of experience in business development, institutional sales, or advisor recruitment within financial services.
• Knowledge of RIA/IAR distribution, hedge funds, private placements, or alternative investments.
• Proven success in app development and distribution, capital fundraising, or advisor engagement.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to explain complex financial products.
• Existing advisor and/or investor network highly preferred.
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently VERY IMPORTANT.
