After a hurricane, remember these 3 important steps:

🏠 1. PUT SAFETY FIRST
Watch for downed power lines, floodwater, damaged roofs, and unstable trees. Don’t enter a damaged home or drive through floodwater until it’s safe.

📸 2. DOCUMENT DAMAGE
Take photos and videos before cleaning up. List damaged items and save receipts for emergency repairs. Prevent further damage only when it’s safe, and document what you do.

📞 3. CONTACT YOUR INSURANCE AGENT
Wind, flood, and other storm damage may be handled differently. Contact your agent or carrier promptly to review coverage, deductibles, and next steps. Be cautious of contractors requesting large upfront payments or pressuring you to sign paperwork.
