Something I found that I liked!!!
Save like you know you will need it one day.
I live in a 436 sq ft apartment.
I don't own a watch.
I don't own a car.
I have only one suit that I bought for my sister's wedding.
I can fit everything I own in a small truck and it would consist of Ikea furniture, jeans, t shirts, and button ups. My most expensive possession is a 65" TV.

I have friends who earn less than me.
They own Rolexes, BMWs, Porches, houses, inground pools, and take expensive vacations.

They say things like YOLO to justify it.
I say things like RETIREMENT to justify my lifestyle.
______
Yes, you only live once, but if you're smart you'll set yourself up for financial independence for the latter half of that life.
As we're now experiencing, anything can happen, and you need to be prepared for it.
If you're "living large" but living paycheck to paycheck and not accumulating real wealth, you should take some time during this quarantine to reevaluate your lifestyle and adjust accordingly.

Don't get me wrong, I love the finer things in life, but I’d rather be on my way to a place where I can have those things forever without having to work another day to keep them, rather than knowing if my income disappears so do those nice things.
Compounding interest. Google it.
