As temperatures rise, so do the risks—especially for older adults.

A heatwave might feel like an inconvenience for some, but for others, it can quickly become an emergency.

Here are three simple but important reminders for the season:
Hydrate often—by the time you feel thirsty, you may already be dehydrated
Store medications properly—heat can reduce effectiveness or create safety issues
Stay cool—use fans, stay indoors during peak heat, and don’t wait to ask for help if something feels off

Sometimes it’s the small precautions that make the biggest difference.
