🧩 Meet the Pieces of EBG: Melissa

Meet Melissa—our part-time helping hand around the office! She helps with the behind-the-scenes details that keep EBG running smoothly and is always willing to lend a hand wherever she's needed.

Melissa grew up in University Place and stays busy with her fiancé, three sons, and dog, Khloe.

Outside of work, she loves cheering on her sons, nephews, and niece at their sporting events, spending time with friends and family, and playing card games. A trip to Greece is on her wish list, but a relaxing day watching Friends or Gossip Girl sounds pretty good, too!

🧩 Meet the Pieces of EBG: Jordan

Meet Jordan—our Office & Event Coordinator, keeper of the details, and unofficial “Curt & Josh Wrangler!” 😉 She helps keep appointments on track, dinner seminars running smoothly, and the office one step ahead.

Jordan grew up and lives in University Place. She stays busy outside work with her husband, two kids, and two Labs. There’s usually something happening—and she probably has a list for it.

Family time, game nights, football, and cheering on her nephews are a few of her favorite things. But if you ask her about the perfect day off? The house is already clean, a murder documentary is on, and the kids aren’t arguing. A girl can dream. 😂

Meet Iris—part of our Transfer Department! From applications and transfers to processing and follow-up, she keeps the details moving and gives things a nudge when needed. 😉

Originally from Northern California, Iris moved to Washington in 2014 and now lives in University Place with her husband and their standard poodle, Leroy.

Outside work, Iris loves traveling and planning her next adventure. Her perfect day off? Sleeping in, walking Leroy, and seeing where the day goes—preferably with sunshine. ☀️

🧩 Meet the Pieces of EBG: Curt

Meet Curt—co-owner of Executive Benefits Group and a licensed insurance professional. He runs the day-to-day business and helps clients understand their retirement options. His goal? For everyone to leave the office feeling informed and cared for like family.

Born and raised in Tacoma, Curt and his wife raised two daughters who now have families of their own. He’s proud of the strong, independent women they’ve become, and nothing brightens his day quite like seeing his grandkids—even if it’s just a video of their latest adventures.

Outside the office, Curt enjoys yard work and catching up with family and friends. He could talk for hours about the good old days—so if you ask, just know you’re getting the full series, not the trailer.

He also has a soft spot for convertible muscle cars—his version of stopping to smell the roses just comes with a louder engine.😉

This week is all about the people who keep EBG’s pieces together. Each day, we’ll share a little about one member of our team—both in and outside the office.

First up: Josh Meyer, co-owner of Executive Benefits Group and a licensed insurance professional!

Easygoing and funny, Josh helps retirees and those nearing retirement understand their options and feel comfortable asking questions.

He began working with Curt in 2005 and helped build EBG in 2016. He grew up in Sequim and Port Townsend before moving to the Tacoma area for work and family.

Outside the office, you’ll find him camping, traveling, enjoying the sunshine, or joining a game night.
