👀 See that broken neutral lug?

This small piece of hardware is responsible for carrying return current for your entire home. When it fails, it can lead to flickering lights, damaged electronics, overheating connections, and even fire hazards.

Fortunately, this issue was caught before it caused major damage. Brayer Electric replaced the home's entire electrical service and got everything back up and running safely.

Sometimes the most dangerous electrical problems are hiding in plain sight.

If your lights flicker, appliances act strangely, or your panel is showing signs of age, give us a call before a minor issue becomes a major one.

That’s one of the many reasons we love what we do at Brayer Electric ⚡

Every day looks a little different, but the goal is always the same—serving great people and taking pride in our work wherever it takes us.

Big day for Brayer Electric! ⚡🚐

We just added a new van to the fleet, and while we’re excited for what’s ahead, it’s a little bittersweet saying goodbye to the one we traded in… our very first van.

That van helped build this business from the ground up — early mornings, late nights, and countless homes served. It’s been with us through it all. From Marysville all the way to Chehalis, this van has been everywhere.

Here’s to new beginnings, continued growth, and serving our community even better. Thank you to everyone who’s supported Brayer Electric along the way — we wouldn’t be here without you!

⚡ Out of Space in Your Electrical Panel? We’ve Got Solutions. ⚡

Adding an EV charger, hot tub, heat pump, or new circuits… and suddenly your electrical panel is full? You’re not alone.

At Brayer Electric, we see this all the time — especially in homes that were never designed for today’s electrical demands.

Good news: a full panel doesn’t always mean you’re out of options 👇
✔️ Panel upgrades (100A → 200A)
✔️ Sub-panel additions
✔️ Load calculations & code-compliant solutions
✔️ Clean, organized installs built to last

We’ll evaluate your existing system and recommend the safest, most cost-effective way to power what you need — without cutting corners.

⚠️ Another Federal Pacific Panel Replaced ⚠️

Today we swapped out another Federal Pacific (FPE) electrical panel—and it’s always a good reminder why these upgrades matter.

🔌 Why Federal Pacific panels are a problem:
• Many FPE breakers are known not to trip during overloads or short circuits
• Breakers can overheat and fail silently
• These panels have been linked to an increased risk of electrical fires
• Most are well beyond their intended service life

🛠 What we did:
✔️ Removed the outdated Federal Pacific panel
✔️ Installed a modern, code-compliant electrical panel
✔️ Properly labeled circuits for safety and convenience
✔️ Gave the homeowner a safer, more reliable electrical system

💡 If your home still has a Federal Pacific panel, it may look fine on the outside—but the risk is hidden behind the cover.

If you’re not sure what type of panel you have, or you’ve been told you have Federal Pacific equipment, we’re happy to take a look and explain your options.

🚫 Save Yourself a Service Call — How to Reset a Breaker or GFCI ⚡
We've been on a few calls lately where this information could have saved people money.
At Brayer Electric LLC, we’d rather help you fix the simple stuff for free than charge you for something you can safely do yourself.
We are always happy to help answer any questions you may have!

Here’s a quick homeowner guide 👇

4
🔌 How to Reset a Tripped Breaker

1️⃣ Find your electrical panel
2️⃣ Look for a breaker that’s not fully ON
3️⃣ Push it all the way OFF first
4️⃣ Then flip it back ON

✅ If it stays on, you’re good to go
❌ If it trips again right away — stop and call a pro

🔁 How to Reset a GFCI Outlet

(Usually in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, or outside)

1️⃣ Press the RESET button on the outlet
2️⃣ If it clicks and power returns, you’re all set
3️⃣ If it won’t reset, there may be a wiring or appliance issue

⚠️ When to Call Us

• Breaker keeps tripping
• GFCI won’t reset
• You smell burning or see damage
• Lights or outlets still don’t work

We’re always happy to help — but if a quick reset saves you a service call, that’s a win for everyone 👍
If it’s more than that, Brayer Electric has you covered.
