This new bill places an additional burden on a veterans access to affordable housing and lower monthly payments and debt relief. Would you take 5-minutes to read this?
Veterans have given so much. They join the US Military to serve their countries; their lives are uprooted once or several times; they have to say their goodbyes and 'see you laters' to family and loved ones over a dozen times in their careers. Because of active duty service personnel and veterans sacrifice, they are offered a 0% Down payment loan with the VA.
The Senate Bill sec. 104 4474 would raise the overall costs for a veteran to utilize VA funding from 0.5% to 1.4% of the total loan amount.
The Department of Defense, VA or HUD should absorb these costs, it shouldn't be passed along to the veteran who has sacrificed so much.
