🚚 Big changes are happening around here!
After ten great years in the neighborhood, we've officially closed our Kaysville location. We'll miss the old place that treated us so well, but we're really excited about what's ahead. This is the first step toward moving into one big, brand-new space in Layton at the end of summer! We're really looking forward to combining our Syracuse and Kaysville staff together under one roof.
In the meantime, you can find most of us at the Syracuse office while some work remotely, and as always we're just a phone call, text, or email away. Thanks for sticking with us through the changes—we can’t wait to welcome you to our new home soon! ❤

The past week we've had our eyes on LA as the fires move quickly across thousands and thousands of acres. The scale of destruction is staggering. We think of those who have lost their homes and all their precious belongings inside and can't help thinking of the long road ahead. As insurance agents, we know how painful each claim loss can be, not to mention the stressful, time-consuming, and lengthy the process of insurance claims and repairs. For an entire, enormous community to experience this all at once is unimaginable.
It's heartening to see the number of organizations, businesses, churches, and individuals that have stepped up to provide help in so many different ways from providing beds, phone charging stations, meals, pet boarding, remote workspaces, and so so much more. If you're in a position where you can donate, you can find organizations accepting donations at MutualAidLA.org, CalFund.org, UnitedWayLa.org, LAWorks.com/2025fires to name just a few.

We've seen plenty of customers experience insurance emergencies and they happen a lot more often than you'd expect. Last winter, at least 20% of our customers' auto claims involved icy or snowy roads. Some claims were multi-car pileups on the freeway or drivers losing complete control of the vehicle and sliding across lanes. Other claims were being unable to stop and rear-ending the stopped car ahead or just sliding into a curb. Regardless, each of these claims caused enough damage to warrant paying $300-$1000 in deductibles (and very likely hundreds more in renewal premium with at fault claims now in their history) and many involved medical bills. Budgets might be tight right now, but we highly recommend investing in the safety of yourself, your family, and others around you on the road. You all deserve the gift of safety and peace of mind this season!.

Tis the season of gifting! If someone you love is a new driver (or drives like they are) here are a few gift ideas to make them (and us) a little safer out on the road. If they already have a backup camera and phone mount but driving hasn't improved, we recommend e-bikes or e-scooters or whatever alternative transportation will excite them the most. Make sure to include a helmet.

New to home ownership? With that privilege comes great responsibility, including making sure damage to your home doesn't get worse. In fact, if you file a claim, insurance companies require that you protect your home from the damage getting worse. But what if you don't even know the damage exists? You might not even know about it until water or worse starts damaging the INSIDE of your home. That's why we always recommend taking a minute to review the exterior of your home after any bigger storm- wind, rain, hail or snow. Hopefully you won't see anything unusual, but you'll be very happy you checked if you do..

Is your motorcycle spending the winter hibernating in your garage? Call your insurance agent to see if you can reduce or change coverage while it won't be out on the road. You can still have coverage in case of damage that hopefully won't happen while in storage (knock on wood that your garage doesn't burn down or a pesky squirrel doesn't chew up the wiring) but could possibly save a few precious dollars by not having collision or liability coverage..
