My wife handed me a shopping list the other day. On it were listed 2 items:
Milk Diapers When I was standing in the dairy section, it occurred to me that I had 4 different types of milk from 3 different dairies to choose from. Our twin 2 year olds only drink Whole milk, but the 3 older kids drink 2%, so I couldn’t just grab the cheapest one and be on my way. Luckily, I remembered who needed it and grabbed the lowest priced whole milk.
I rounded the baby aisle in search of the diapers. This time, I had 6 sizes and 4 different brands to choose from. Okay, size 5 is where we’re at now, so that leaves me with 4 choices. After having 5 babies, I have enough experience to know which brands to avoid, and which ones work well.
Just like the super market, there is a market for life and health insurance. There are a lot of different choices, and it can be very confusing. As in my quest for the right milk and diapers, not every choice is right for you, and may in fact leave you with an unpleasant mess to clean up.
