If you're not using AI in your business, you're missing out.
I literally used AI to generate a list of nearly 200 businesses I can market to, ranked from most likely to switch from their current provider to me using metrics that I suggested, suggested possible individualized conversation starters for each one, then created territories for me that:
a) ranked the prospect from great to poor likelihood to switch to me
b) broke that list up into driving distances from my home office
c) analyzed and segmented the list even further to rank potential routes, ranking a route higher, even if farther away, if there were a cluster of potential businesses within 10 minutes driving time from each other, pain points to explore, and then created a followup plan that includes emails, text messages, and voicemail messages.
Total time for me to get this done? About 15 minutes.
Using similar prompting, I've generated lists that had actual contact information (email and phone numbers where available), addresses, websites if available, owner information, just to name some of the data fields it generated.
For that list, I spent about 10 minutes crafting the prompt, then walked away to do other things. When I came back, it had created a database, within 45 minutes, that held over 1,000 businesses that, so far, I have not found any errors in (I don't 100% trust AI yet, so for each contact provided, I manually double-check it to see if it's valid).
To put this in perspective, last year, I was talking to a data broker (won't name them, but they're one of the largest in the US) to try and generate a similar list. Their starting price for 500 confirmed names with contact info was around $200, and I could only mail to the list once.
For less than $25 a month, I've generated a list of over 1,000 contacts with the same info, a subset of that list that is broken down into routes I can cover in a day, of potentially high-quality leads and with metrics that indicate what makes them high quality based on criteria I provided, and best of all, I can use this list as many times as I like. Heck, once I've actually verified the list, I could theoretically sell this information as well.
And if I can think it up, I could generate hundreds of lists a week of similar quality with the only limits being how much time I have and what types of lists I can imagine.
I could literally start a one man data broker agency and create lists based on client requests, and create those lists within an hour or two.
I've also used AI to read different online groups, from like Facebook, Reddit, etc., of my target audience, then had it extract the pain points they're talking about, so I have a more educated understanding of what to discuss with potential prospects.
The potential is endless...
So the question I have is, if you're not using AI to help grow your business, why not? And if you are using AI, how are you using it? Let me know because I'd love to see how business owners are using technology to grow their businesses. :)
