Here is a local opportunity to hear a great (not so local) man speak! Syracuse University is hosting their 37th MLK Celebration online, free and open to all! I'm not affiliated with the college, but I would love to support more great speakers in the future, Information is below.

The the 37th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration is Sunday, Jan. 30, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.

Martin Luther King III, a civil rights activist, global humanitarian, political leader, and eldest son of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will serve as featured speaker at the 37th annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, which will take place virtually on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. E...

January 17th is dubbed "Ditch New Year’s Resolutions Day" or "Quitters day". In a world where there seems to be new struggles everyday, it's becoming even harder to find motivation to do what needs to be done. This is a reminder to anyone who might be slipping on their New Years Resolutions (including myself) to keep on going! You are so close to building a new habit!

There are number of reasons why you might still be struggling to focus on work, despite having only just returned from a Christmas break.

A little late to the punch, but here's a big thank you to the Upstate Minority Economic Alliance for putting on a successful annual holiday party late last year. The food put on by "The Taste of Honey", "Donna's Treats", and Chef Johnny G was fantastic and we all had a great time! We are so happy to have the opportunity to sponsor and look forward to future chances to collaborate. Thank you to Shanay Bradley owner of "Light to the Darkness Photography" for the pictures below!

Although the ability to add jobs remains difficult with todays world, it is fantastic to see more diversity represented in the workplace (locally & nationally). I've experienced first hand the benefits of collaboration in a diverse workplace and look forward to all the new faces at our firm (and elsewhere) starting their new careers in 2022!

Julie Vogtman of the National Women’s Law Center says she expects the omicron variant to “disrupt, or even reverse” women’s economic progress soon.

As students and teachers prepared for back to school, Equitable Foundation launched an exciting opportunity with You Give Goods to support the National Urban League in Newark and Charlotte, and the Boys & Girls Club in Syracuse. Equitable employees and financial professionals shopped for need-based goods like food and school supplies, and the organizations distributed the items in their communities. The campaign exceeded its goal of $40,000!
