We are proud to announce Abbie Lewis, Banking Officer at Farmers & Merchants Bank, has completed her first year at the Georgia Banking School.

The Georgia Banking School is a three-year specialized school run by the Georgia Bankers Association, designed to develop the next generation of banking leaders through rigorous coursework, industry expertise, and hands-on learning.

During the course of the three-year program, participants complete an annual one-week residence session at the University of Georgia in Athens as well as home study cases between sessions. The school provides a well-balanced curriculum featuring UGA faculty members, veteran bankers and other industry experts and specialists.

This commitment to professional growth reflects Abbie’s dedication and passion to grow as a banking professional and in turn better serve our customers and community, stated Hoke Reeves, President & CEO.

Our community has the opportunity to come together and make a life-saving difference.

Madison Scott, a graduate of Screven County High School, was injured in an automobile accident December 2024 and received blood products due to her extensive injuries. Now it’s our turn to help replenish the supply that helped her.
