The September F.A.R.M. Activity Bag is all about apples! Learn how these tasty fruits make their way from the orchard all the way to your table through a fun, hands-on agricultural activity. 🌳🍎

Thanks to a Community Action Grant from Meta DeKalb Data Center the DeKalb County Farm Bureau Foundation is providing FREE, hands-on F.A.R.M. bags through local libraries. Each bag includes a family-friendly agricultural activity, supplies, step-by-step instructions, and a related reading piece. 📚🌱

Stop by your local library and pick up a September F.A.R.M. bag beginning this week while supplies last! Bags are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with one bag per household.

Don’t miss out, these bags are ripe for the picking! 🍏

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Farm Talks last week! 🌱

We enjoyed a great afternoon of conversation, learning, and connecting with fellow Farm Bureau members. Attendees heard updates from Illinois Farm Bureau President, Philip Nelson, and staff, discussed issues impacting agriculture at the state and national levels, and learned more about Illinois Farm Bureau’s work advocating for agriculture and rural communities.

A special thank you to the Boehne Family Farm for graciously hosting us on their farm and to South Moon BBQ in Hinckley for providing the delicious BBQ catering! We truly appreciate your hospitality!

Thank you to our speakers and everyone who joined the conversation, asked questions, and stayed engaged. Events like Farm Talks are a great reminder of the importance of staying informed and connected as we work together to support agriculture. 🌽❤

Help spark a love of agriculture at home! 📚🌱

We're excited to partner with our local libraries, like the Genoa Public Library District, to provide FREE hands-on F.A.R.M. Activity Bags for families to enjoy together. Each month's themed bag includes an engaging agricultural activity, supplies, instructions, and a related reading piece.

This project is made possible through a Community Action Grant from the
DeKalb Data Center. Be sure to stop by the library and pick one up while supplies last! 🌽

Want to learn more about agriculture? Then stop by the library to grab a FREE hands-on activity bag!

Every month, the library will have themed F.A.R.M. bags courtesy of DeKalb County Farm Bureau and made possible through a Community Action Grant from the Meta Data Center in DeKalb. Each bag will contain a family-friendly activity with step-by-step instructions. Supplies and materials needed to conduct the activity and a reading piece based on theme will be included.

The bags are available in the library on a first-come, first-served basis; one bag per household please.
