INSURANCE SCAM - BE AWARE

It has come to our attention that a scam is taking place in Georgia and the scammers are using Brunswick Insurance Services located in Supply, NC as the servicing agent. They copied information from our website to make emails and certificates look legitimate. Contractors are finding jobs on Angie's List and calling about performing the work. They are being told that they do not have proper limits of insurance and that they will put the contractor in contact with an agent that can get them the required coverage so they can begin the job immediately. The contractors call and speak with Jessica or Stephanie and pay for the coverage using Zelle. (Fake certificate attached)

* Brunswick Insurance Services is not licensed to sell insurance in the state of Georgia, we are a North Carolina company.
* If the contractor can't wait for you to contact your current agent that should be a red flag.
* If any insurance agency or company ask you to pay by Zelle and has no other payment options that should be a red flag.

The company using Angie's List for this fraud is Lakefront Property Management & Home Restoration, LLC dba Corporate Service Company. They are using an address of 50 West Broad St, Suite 1330 Columbus, OH 43215 which is also a fraudulent address.

If you have been affected by this scam please contact the Georgia Department of Insurance (404) 656-2070, your local police or sheriff's department, and Angie's List.

I have tried to reach out to Angie's List concerning this matter and they refuse to talk to me about the matter. Angie's list is the common denominator in all of these cases so far.

If you have friends and family in Georgia with businesses that may advertise on Angie's List please share this information with them.
