Republic of Trainworld A seasonal HO scale model railroad set outdoors in Northern MN The era of modeling is set in 1952 and continues forward. It is currently, 1953 on Trainworld.

Trainworld is a miniature city, based on HO model railroad scale, complete with most of the working details of the modern world, yet acts as a playland for children to act out their dreams and fantasies. The layout will only feature one city, Trainworld City (the capital), but will interact with other fictional cities and towns on the island and in the nearby United States and Canada.

43 years ago, the Mighty Fitz left the Duluth/Superior harbor on her eternal voyage. The Karl Uthaug was scratchbuilt in her likeliness. Although not intended to be an exact replica, she does resemble the Fitz. The Uthaug was named for my great grandfather who also passed away on the Great Lakes. The Republic of Trainworld pays homage to the great sailors who continue to sail and those whom have passed.
