Hi Friends! 💛

💥Update: Adding a chance to win $100 Kwik Trip gift card. Drop donations at 1215 Tower Ave by 4pm on Friday 8/14.

I have 25 Senior GO Show tickets to give away, and I’d love to use them as an opportunity to give back to kids in our community!

I’m working with The Salvation Army in Superior for their Back to School event on August 18th at the Salvation Army on Hughitt Avenue. 🎒✏️👕

They’ll be providing school supplies AND a new school outfit for each child who attends! Parents/guardians must be Douglas County residents—just bring your ID. You can visit the Salvation Army Superior page for more information about the event.

Here’s where you can help!
I’m collecting donations of:
• School supplies
• Backpacks
• New clothing items for kids

Bring in a donation and pick up a FREE Senior GO Show ticket while supplies last! 🎟️

It’s a great way to help local kids start the school year feeling prepared and confident—and then enjoy the Senior GO Show at the DECC in Duluth on September 29th from 9 AM–2 PM.

Come check out the vendors, enjoy the show, and most importantly, help us support the youth in our community. ❤️

25 tickets available—first come, first served!

I’m attending a webinar this Tuesday about transparency of EOBs and facility charges and billing. Good stuff, especially after seeing what Essentia and Aspirus are doing in regards to billing.
I’ll keep you all in the loop!

This is happening in every state, making it difficult for agents to enroll beneficiaries in the best plan according to their needs.
I’m so glad states are pushing back.

“PacificSource had limited online enrollment options, discouraged agents from selling certain MA products, and attempted to remove compensation on policies signed after Nov 1 2025. Regulators ruled these actions violated Idaho Code § 41-1321, ordering the insurer to immediately cease limiting product access, creating agent disincentives, or withholding commissions.

The ruling reinforces that insurers must treat filed products and agent compensation transparently—and cannot manipulate availability or commissions to influence agent behavior or consumer choice.”

👏NABIP applauds the Delaware Department of Insurance and Commissioner Trinidad Navarro for issuing a strong consumer protection bulletin yesterday, stating that limiting access to Medicare products or altering producer compensation are unfair trade practices that may also violate federal Medicare protections.

This important action follows Idaho’s earlier bulletin and aligns with NABIP’s recent letter to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), calling for consistent nationwide policies that protect both seniors and the professionals who serve them.

We encourage agents and brokers across the country to contact their state Departments of Insurance and urge them to follow Idaho and Delaware’s lead in ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability in the Medicare market.

10/29/2025

Starting today, 10/29/2025, Koehler Insurance is sponsoring two different drives for the Superior Community.

The 1st is a food drive: pastas, sauces, peanut butter, bread, apples, bananas, oranges, potatoes, butter, things like pancake mix and syrup, honey, canned tuna, salmon, or chicken, boxed meals, rice, canned soups, olive oil, etc.

The 2nd is baby and small child items: diapers (all sizes), wipes, formula, new clothes with tags, jarred or pouch baby food, healthy snacks, etc.

If you bring two or more items you will be entered into a drawing for $100 Kwik Trip gift card for each drive, the opportunity to win $200. Drawing will be held on Sunday, November 9th @ 2pm.

You can leave all donations at 1215 Tower Avenue in Superior between 10a- 5p Mon-Fri.

Believers are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus, and we are here to serve.

Drives will benefit the Salvation Army and the Life Care Center

Neither the clinic nor insurers explained the changes for 2026, which come as seniors are facing higher premiums and finding fewer choices.

To any Medicare recipients: If you feel it is important and valuable to work directly with an
agent for your healthcare insurance needs and concerns. The best thing you can do to ensure you will have an agent in the future, is to fill out this survey. Scroll down to agent/client survey provided by NABIP- National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals.

I am keeping all appointments to review plans and still accepting new clients. With that said, compensation of servicing clients has been terminated by MOST insurance carriers for 2026, (layman’s term, I’m not getting paid 😳) so please be patient with me as I try to figure out the best way to take care of my family and still provide service to you. I don’t know what the future looks like as far as how much involvement I will have with your rx issues and claims, but I will be transparent along the way.

This is a fine line of helping people with very real concerns and needs, and educating people on how to work through some of this directly with the carriers, and continuing to provide for myself and my family. I promise to do my best to navigate all of these changes.

The best thing you can do to ensure you will have an agent in the future, is to fill out this survey/testimonial regardless who your agent is. We all want to continue to help our community the way we have been.

Medicare beneficiaries, we need your help! The National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP) represents over 100,000 licensed health insurance agents, brokers, general agents, consultants, and employee benefits specialists...
