Medicare (Original Medicare) , is a federal health insurance. You can get Medicare if you are a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and
✔️Age 65 or older
✔️Younger than 65 with certain disabilities
✔️Any age with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) or amyotrophic lateral scelrosis
Medicare has four parts:
📍Part A - Hospital Insurance which covers Inpatient Hospital stays
📍Part B - Medical Insurance which covers things like Doctor Visits (Outpatient Services)
📍Part C - Known as Medicare advantage, consists of Parts A and B , as well as additional benefits, such as dental, hearing and vision. Medicare advantage plans can also include Part D prescription benefits, often referred to as a MAPD plans.
📍Part D - Part D helps cover the cost of prescription drugs. You can purchase a Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) on its own or you can purchase a Medicare Advantage plan that includes prescription drug coverage (MAPD)
