The Florida Hometown Heroes Housing Program makes homeownership affordable for eligible community workforce. This program provides down payment and closing cost assistance to first-time, income-qualified homebuyers so they can purchase a primary residence in the community in which they work and serve. The Florida Hometown Heroes Loan Program also offers a competitive first mortgage interest rate and additional special benefits to those who have served and continue to serve their country.
What is the Hometown Program?
5% up to $35,000 Grant Program offered to Florida Homebuyers
Buyer no longer has to be classified as a "Hero"
Money can be used for closing cost and/or down payment.
Buyers receive a below market rate.
Who Qualifies:
First time Home Buyers (Veterans excluded)
Must work for Florida based company.
Receive up to 5% for down payment or closing cost.

You want to buy when the interest rates are high because that means the house prices are much lower than if the interest rate was also low.
Then all you have to do is refinance when the interest rates drop and then you get the benefit of having a cheaper house at a cheap interest rate.
We are expecting FED to start dropping interest rates right around May or June of 2024 so you want to buy before then or around then!
