This month is a great reminder to focus on the little things that can make a big difference: staying active, keeping up with preventive care, eating well, staying socially connected, and making time for the things you enjoy.

A hospice referral doesn’t mean you have to use the agency your doctor recommends.

Patients and families have the right to choose their hospice provider. Your doctor may give you one or two recommendations, but you can research, compare, ask questions, and choose the hospice agency that feels right for you or your loved one.

In an emergency, every second counts. Take a few minutes today to make sure the emergency contacts saved in your phone are current.

✅ Verify phone numbers
✅ Remove outdated contacts
✅ Add someone who is likely to answer
✅ Consider adding their relationship (daughter, son, spouse, neighbor, etc.)

Bonus Tip: If you have an iPhone or Android, set up your Medical ID or Emergency Information. First responders can often access this information even if your phone is locked.

It's a simple task that can make a big difference when it matters most.
