The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) committed $468 million to the Clean Energy & Technology Fund (CETF), a private equity investment initiated in 2007 as part of its portfolio diversification strategy. As of March 31, 2025, the fund's value stood at approximately $138 million, reflecting a 71% decline or a loss exceeding $330 million.
