Charles Kroll, CPA has joined PHA after a lengthy stint as CFO at a 100% ESOP-owned distribution business. In that role, Charles managed the annual ESOP process including creating financial projections, forecasting ESOP share repurchase obligations, and overseeing compliance with ESOP regulations. Charles is looking forward to sharing his ESOP expertise with successful companies throughout the Midwest that are considering an ESOP transaction.

Carl Genberg joined the firm after a successful career as a commercial and investment banker. Carl was a leader of middle market investment banking at a national bank where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions. He also was the national practice leader for his bank’s business transition planning team where he advised business owners on a variety of transition alternatives including ESOPs, strategic sales, private equity recapitalizations, and management buyouts. His experience in a variety of transition strategies brings additional depth to the advisory practice of Pilot Hill Advisors. Carl will be focusing his ESOP activities on the West Coast.
