Over the last few weeks, I've read about far too many young lives being lost in heartbreaking, unexpected accidents back in my hometown. As a parent, it's something that hits you differently. No family ever imagines they'll have to face that kind of loss.

While no amount of money could ever replace a child, having life insurance on your children can help ease one small part of an unimaginable burden. Funeral expenses, time away from work, travel for family, and other unexpected costs can add up quickly when families should be focused on grieving and supporting one another—not worrying about finances.

Something many people don't realize is that children's life insurance isn't just for today. Many policies can help protect your child's future by allowing them to keep coverage as they grow older, regardless of changes to their health, and may give them the option to purchase additional coverage later in life without needing to prove they're insurable. One of the questions I get asked is, "Why do you love what you do?"

The answer is simple—I love helping the families in my community truly understand their insurance.

So many people are still carrying the same coverages their parents set up years ago, and while that may have been the right fit then, life changes. My favorite part of my job is sitting down with people, explaining what their policies actually cover, why they have the limits they do, and making sure their protection matches the life they're living today.

I'm also passionate about helping families put life insurance in place. When someone passes away, the last thing their loved ones need is added financial stress. Things like inheritance, homes, and vehicles can be tied up in probate, and having life insurance can provide a financial cushion when it's needed most.

Insurance isn't just about having a policy—it's about understanding it and knowing your family is protected.

What’s one thing you never thought you’d care about as an adult that you are now oddly passionate about?

Our Kids Safety Expo is officially happening on Saturday, May 30th and we are SO excited to bring this event to the community! 🎉

Since graduation season is here, okay settle a debate my husband and I are having 😂

What did y’all do for 8th grade graduation?

Were you:
🎓 “I honestly don’t even remember it”
OR
📸 Professional photo shoot, big party, decorations, gifts, the whole thing

I feel like there’s no in between and apparently we grew up VERY differently 😂

Our daughter is graduating 8th grade this year and we have very different ideas on how big of a deal this should be, so now I need opinions 😂

Also while we’re talking graduation season — friendly insurance reminder from me 😅 If you have kids heading off to college soon, don’t forget to look into renters insurance for dorms/apartments. Most people don’t realize how much stuff adds up until something happens!
