We may not be facing the full force of hurricane winds this weekend, but heavy rain, rising water, and potential flooding are still serious concerns here in the Lowcountry!

At Lighthouse Insurance Benefits, we want to remind our friends, families, and neighbors that a little preparation today can make a BIG difference tomorrow. 💙

⚠️ HERE’S YOUR WEEKEND STORM CHECKLIST:

💧 Stock up on water. Keep a little extra drinking water on hand.

🔦 Prepare for power outages. Charge your devices, grab your flashlights, and make sure your generator is ready. Remember, generators must ALWAYS be operated outdoors, away from windows and doors.

🥫 Have extra food available. Keep some nonperishable items stocked in case you’re unable to get out.

⛽ Fill your gas tank! Don’t wait until you’re running on empty.

🏡 Protect your property. Secure outdoor furniture, clear storm drains where safe, and move valuables away from areas prone to flooding.

🚗 NEVER drive through standing or flooded water! You never know how deep it is or whether the road underneath has washed away.

📱 Stay informed. Keep an eye on local weather alerts and emergency updates.

❤️ MOST IMPORTANTLY, CHECK ON YOUR NEIGHBORS! Especially our seniors and those who may need a little extra help preparing.
