The More You Know:
•Annuities are insurance products.
•Professionals who offer annuities to you have an insurance license.
•Fun words, big numbers and bonuses don’t equal great investments-if they aren’t in all the right places and you don’t. Have all the information.
If you’re considering investing your hard-earned money somewhere, ask these questions:
1-What is my participation rate?
2-What is the cap on my earnings?
3-What are my fees each year?
4-This big bonus you’re offering, is it on the entire amount or an Income Rider?
5-What are my payout options? Can I change this structure?
6-Can my account value increase even AFTER I begin taking withdrawals?
These answers should come in tangible percentages/numbers, substantial explanations, etc.
If they gloss over these…🚩
If they don’t want to answer/redirect…🚩
If they want to know who told you to ask or get defensive…🚩
