We were only about 700 branches nationwide and headquartered in a small office building in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Today, we have over 20,000 financial advisors and over 15,000 branch offices. Because I started so early, I was fortunate to get to meet the legends of our firm like John Bachmann, Jack Phelan and, of course, Ted Jones. They all impacted my career in a very inspirational way. I qu
ickly realized that, after joining Edward Jones, I could make an impactful difference in people's lives. If I did my job well, they could live a better life financially. I was the first Edward Jones office in the Lake Area in 1984. I chose Sulphur because I liked the small town feel and the great community spirit. Over the years, I have been president of numerous local organizations like Sulphur Rotary, West Cal Chamber of Commerce, The Sulphur Group and Sulphur Industrial Board and have been involved in many others. I am still very active in Sulphur Rotary Club. In 2025, I was honored to be named among the Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors in Louisiana.*
I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston (but now a Tiger Fan). I am married to the wonderful Misty Finchum and have one daughter, Taylor Alexander, who is also a financial advisor with Edward Jones. I am asked all the time when I plan to retire, and I tell them that I don't have any plans to. I love what I do. I really like helping people achieve their financial goals and watching them enjoy that accomplishment. I am fortunate to have many multi-generational clients over the years and have been proud of what we have achieved working together. My branch team includes our very experienced senior branch office administrator, Suanne Crawford, who started with Edward Jones in 2002, and our associate financial advisor, Kristin Rusher. We look forward to working with the serious, long-term investors of our area.
