What a great night at Harbor Park! ⚾
Bob Aston was on hand to accept a Gold Bat in recognition of TowneBank’s sponsorship of the All-Tidewater Classic presented by Michael Cuddyer. Bob has long been a champion of local athletics—supporting teams across Hampton Roads and even stepping in as a coach over the years—so it was especially meaningful to celebrate his commitment to our community on and off the field.
To kick off the evening, Chad Rountree, TowneBank Senior Vice President and Western Tidewater Market Leader, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The game itself brought together some of the region’s top high school talent from the Southside, Peninsula, and local private schools—making for an exciting night of baseball and community pride.

Jason Prue and Nate Allen, longtime friends and neighbors, have always shared an interest in outdoor equipment. As they began considering the next chapter in their careers, they saw an opportunity to turn that shared passion into a business of their own. After attending a lawn equipment show in Kentucky, their vision for Intercoastal Outdoor Equipment in Camden, NC was solidified.

Intercoastal Outdoor Equipment is proud to be the only dealer of Bad Boy Mowers in northeast North Carolina, an American brand based in Arkansas that is founded on the same values that fuel Jason and Nate’s heart for the community they serve. Similarly, they chose to partner with TowneBank for our shared passion for people and service.

Jason made the bold decision to leave a 17-year career to pursue his dream of business ownership, while Nate, a Senior Chief in the Navy, is preparing to transition into the business full-time as he approaches retirement.

Tonight’s All Tidewater Classic is extra special for us as we cheer on a Towne family member competing on the roster! This event honors past, present, and future athletes across the 757 area. We hope to see everyone at Harbor Park for a wonderful game.

We had the honor of building a custom playset for 5-year-old Kielynn, who is bravely fighting leukemia. 💛 Through the Roc Solid Foundation’s Play It Forward program, we helped create a space where she can laugh, play, and just be a kid.

Roc Solid Foundation is dedicated to bringing hope and happiness to children battling pediatric cancer by building these playsets, reminding families that even in the toughest times, a smile can be the best medicine. We’re grateful to have been part of something so meaningful for Kielynn and her family.
