October is Domestic Awareness month. These beautiful ladies collected supplies for the ladies of the Safe Space Shelter who have been through so much. Sandy Jo Crocker author and board member of Safe Space told us about the great work they do. Being a victim of violence in the home herself she relates what the women go through very well. Advocacy is very important and we can help by writing letters for legislation which will protect women, to our state legislature. Jennie Carter a survivor shared her sad story with us. She was very inspiring as She works very hard to get legislation passed so that no woman has to go through what she went through.
You can help too by helping us raise funds to help with our community programs. Our Sip & Shop fundraiser is coming up shortly November 7, please come join us.
