Last week, R.V. Johnson Insurance was proud to sponsor and attend the 25th anniversary of Treasure Coast Best Places to Work hosted by HR & Business Leaders Council - a quarter century of celebrating the employers who make our community a great place to build a career.
Gerry Hoeffner of Personnel Dynamics Consulting gave us plenty to think about:
📊 Martin County unemployment sits at 5.0% (July 2026), well below the 6.4% average from 1980 to 2000. Good talent is still hard to find.
📊 Some of Florida’s most familiar jobs are shrinking fast. From 2024 to 2025, bookkeeping and accounting roles fell 17%, stockers and order fillers fell 15%, and receptionist positions fell nearly 11%.
📊 This year’s Best Places to Work survey says employers’ top priorities are recruiting, preparing the workforce for Al, skills and Al training, and leadership training.
The takeaway for us: the work is changing, and the best employers will be the ones who invest in their people to change with it. That’s why we’re committed to training, developing, and growing our team.
Congratulations to this year’s honorees, and thank you to everyone who has kept this tradition going for 25 years. Here’s to the next 25!
Awesome job on the mic today Anita Fischer & Andrew Treadwell.
